About Carol Blood

Carol is a born and raised Nebraskan. She grew up on a farm in Adams County and graduated from Adams Central High School. Carol raised her family here in Sarpy County with her husband Joe. Joe and Carol have been married for 38 years and are blessed with three children and many lovely grandchildren.

Carol served as the Executive Director of the La Vista Area Chamber of Commerce and worked as a PR and business consultant for 24 years. She has also served on the Bellevue Public Safety Foundation Board supporting area police, fire and rescue for 10 years, seven as the Board President. She currently serves as the Executive Director of City Sprouts, a local non-profit that uses urban agriculture as a platform to develop equitable food systems, provide educational opportunities, and build community.

Known for her accessibility and service to those she serves, Carol was elected to the Bellevue City Council and served from 2008 to 2016. In 2016, Carol was elected to the Nebraska Legislature to represent District 3. She was re-elected in 2020, serving through 2024.
